Therapy Dogs at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

As I walk the halls of Walter Reed I have witnessed the Therapy Pets along side some of the soldiers who are admitted here. All you see is loyalty and love in both the dog’s and soldier’s eyes.

Please watch the video below and you can see a few of the Therapy Pets in action.

this is such a wonderful program. Dogs are one of the best animals for lending support and companionship. They love unconditionally and don’t judge. Just a beautiful thing. Thanks for sharing… ~Big hugs, xoxo

I love to see this Lisa, animals are such a resource for people; and what better person to support and love and admire – our troops, soldiers, veterans. Thank you.

Lisa, good afternoon. I have a qualified therapy dog and we are interested in working at Walter Reed. We are presently involved with Manassas Therapy Dogs but are hoping to expand our efforts. If you know who we could contact in that regards, we would be grateful. Thanking you in advance.
