There are aspects of each season that I enjoy, however the first signs of Autumn are hard to beat. We love picking the apples and preparing them for some great desserts for the upcoming holidays.
Another great part of the Autumn season are the colorful leaves seen in many landscapes. Living in the Pacific Northwest we aren’t privileged to experience many of the Fall colors on the trees as in other parts of the country. However, we do see glimpses of color but the rains soon erase their richness.
We were on a recent trip to Upstate NY and we had the best time driving through and seeing the beautiful foliage. The following are some of the pictures we captured during our trip.
As we traveled further northwest the colors grew richer and the cool fresh air made the experience all the better. The rolling hills were dotted with old barns and farm houses. The roads took us through small towns with colorful tree lined main streets. We continued to drive through multiple vineyards and wineries. It was the perfect time of year to witness our country’s beauty during this season.
