The Inn at Irving Place is located in the Gramercy Park Historic District in New York City. As soon as you step inside the building it’s as if you are transported back in time.

Built in the 1800’s, the Inn has been meticulously restored and complimented with beautiful antique furniture of its time.

Upon entering your room soft music from decades past softly plays. The rooms continue the theme of the Victorian era of days gone by.

We made reservations for the 5 course Tea Service and enjoyed wonderful teas, appetizer, finger sandwiches, scones with preserves, their signature cake and chocolate covered strawberries and let’s not forget a glass of champagne!

It is a perfect location for a bridal shower, baby shower, tea parties or any other celebration of your choosing.

I have only been there a couple of times but I just loved it. I would like to go back to. I am a native of Wisconsin but have lived in Los Angeles for 32 years now. I am also a nurse but retired at 55 by choice.

I am so glad we were able to connect. I grew up in NY and love going there. The city is so alive! We live on the west coast now too!

This looks like a wonderful place–right out of a romantic novel. It looks as thought the exterior charm is nearly as fantastic as the interior. I’m a huge fan of NYC, and learning about a gem like this is exciting.

I love NYC too and when we first went there I was hooked! It is close to everything but at the same time it feels like you are out of the city.

I think I’ve stayed at this place!!! When I was working in NYC, I was booked in here and it is exactly how it’s described! Since I was working, I didn’t get to experience actual romance, but this place is darling, beautiful, and reminiscent of another time. Great recommendation and spot on!

    • June 4, 2013 at 7:10 AM

I love this place too! Thank you Heather! Maybe one day you can go back for a visit!
