Here is An Easy Way to Stop Facebook Game Requests

Are you getting too many game requests on Facebook? I confess I have played games on Facebook, yes there I said it!  After weeks addicted and wasting part of my day playing games I decided I needed to Crush that Candy! Then I watched this movie and I realized that indeed I was in trouble!

As with any addiction you need to stop all temptations and those pesky notifications were not helping! There are a few ways that you can stop the game app notifications without having to block your friends completely.

Step One: Account Settings

Step Two: Blocking/Manage Blocking

In the Block Apps section type in the name of the game. Just blocking the App is probably enough. However, if you have a friend that is constantly inviting you to several games you can add their name in the Block App Invites section as well.

If you start feeling the withdrawals from missing that Candy then as you can see you can also Unblock at any time!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to block all games at once? Another way is if you see a post about a friend playing a game in your newsfeed, you can click on the upper right of the post and block the game. I block them as I see them (of course, there’s always new games) …

I know, it would be great if we could do that. I think that video is so funny. Thanks Gerry!

This is something that I really need to do. I admit, during my first year or so on Facebook I was playing a few games here and there but then saw myself spending way too much time playing so I stopped. However, I still get those annoying requests. I try blocking the requests as I see them, but I think I need to dedicate a few minutes and do these steps instead. Thank you for sharing this post!

I hate the game requests, too. I know it’s not a big deal to ignore them, but it wastes a bit of time, and I don’t have that bit. I have blocked them repeatedly, but it seems like there is always a new one out there!

I have always blocked the requests as they appear in my feed — I didn’t realize there was any other way to block the game requests. I will go follow your instructions RIGHT NOW because DANG, those things are so annoying! I never played any games through Facebook. I will admit to trying Candy Crush via an app, but I didn’t hook it up to my FB account, and just played it solo. I quit before reaching level 40 because… well… I’m writing a post about that which will go live tomorrow (July 1). I am definitely going to reference your link here. Thanks for the great info! :)

I was playing using the app too. I wasted so much time playing that game. I know their goal is for one to pay money for the lives, which I never did. I hope this method for removing game requests helps you! Thank you for also linking this post to your blog.

Hi there this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG
editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no
coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
