My Story
I started to gain weight soon after I began having symptoms of a condition called Hyperadrenergic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Most patients with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome are unable to exercise. In my case not only can’t I exercise but eating regular foods and carbohydrates caused me to pass out and I was continuously nauseated. I had to find something that I could do to lose the weight and reduce some of these symptoms.
A friend of mine introduced me to the ViSalus Shakes and the 90 day challenge. I lost 3 pounds in the first week and most of the digestive symptoms resolved! I was sold. I drank a shake for breakfast and one for lunch. I then ate a regular meal for dinner. The shakes are delicious Gluten Free and Lactose Free, Low Sodium, Diabetic friendly and made with Non-GMO soy protein!
By six weeks I had lost 20 pounds and over 20 inches! My cholesterol dropped from 250 to 150 and all of my other Basic Metabolic Panel and Liver Function Tests normalized too. Although this diet did not cure my condition, it did normalize my symptoms after meals and allowed me to lose the weight.
